Mindfulness-Based Body Centered Counseling
My Story
My name is Lenni Ferren and my path to becoming a therapist was shaped by my own life changing healing journey following a serious car accident. During that time, therapy became an essential part of my recovery, not only helping me navigate physical and emotional challenges, but also supporting profound personal growth. Through that experience, I discovered that some of the most impactful healers were those who could genuinely understand aspects of what I was going through. That realization inspired me to become a therapist myself. I believe that everyone encounters moments in life that fundamentally change them. Whether those experiences involve trauma, illness, loss, major transitions, or challenges within relationships and family systems, it is my passion to help people navigate those experiences with compassion, understanding, and hope. My goal is to help clients reconnect with themselves, regain a sense of balance, and build a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling. As a somatic therapist, I view mental health through the lens of the nervous system. I help clients understand how life experiences become stored in the body and how patterns of stress, trauma, and survival responses can impact emotional well-being, relationships, and physical health. Together, we work to cultivate a resilient nervous system, expand your window of tolerance, and develop practical skills that allow you to better navigate life's challenges while fostering deeper connections with yourself and others. My approach is intuitive, eclectic, and deeply individualized. I draw from a variety of evidence-based and experiential modalities, including Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, specialized training in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Gestalt Therapy, Hypnosis, Mindfulness, Humanistic Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Nature Therapy, and other integrative approaches. I also incorporate nervous system regulation, emotional and relational literacy skills, and trauma informed interventions that support healing on physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual levels.I have a special interest in working with adult children of alcoholics and dysfunctional families, individuals navigating chronic pain and chronic illness, life-changing medical events, cancer diagnoses, trauma, attachment wounds, and the intersection of neurodiversity and trauma. I am passionate about helping clients make sense of their experiences while building greater self-compassion, self-trust, and resilience. In addition to my clinical work, I am a strong advocate for underrepresented and marginalized communities. I believe that healing does not happen in isolation from the larger systems in which we live, and I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered. Clients often describe me as warm, compassionate, and genuinely invested in their well-being. I bring both heartfelt understanding and professional expertise to the therapeutic relationship, offering practical tools alongside a deep respect for each person's unique journey. It is truly an honor to walk alongside my clients as they move toward healing, growth, and a more authentic and connected life. I look forward to meeting you and walking along side you.

What to Expect
Therapy with me is a collaborative and grounded process where we slow things down enough to understand what is happening beneath the surface, emotionally, physically, and relationally. Many clients come in feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from themselves, or unsure how to change long-standing patterns.
Because I work from a somatic and nervous system–informed lens, we pay attention not only to thoughts and narratives, but also to what is happening in the body in the present moment. This may include noticing sensations, tracking activation or shutdown states, and understanding how your nervous system responds to stress, relationships, and memories. Over time, you’ll build greater awareness of your internal signals and develop tools to support regulation and safety.
Depending on your needs, our work may include exploring past experiences through approaches like EMDR or parts work (IFS), gently processing what has felt overwhelming or unresolved. Sessions may also involve mindfulness, grounding, and practical skills for managing anxiety, chronic stress, pain, or emotional intensity, along with deeper relational work around attachment patterns, boundaries, and communication.
A key part of the process is that therapy is not only reflective, but experiential. You may have moments in session where we pause, slow down, and work directly with what is happening in your body or emotions in real time so that experiences can be felt, processed, and integrated—not just talked about. This helps create new internal experiences of safety, connection, and choice.
Over time, therapy often feels both reflective and experiential. Clients frequently notice they are becoming more present, more connected to themselves, and more able to respond to life rather than react from old patterns.
My intention is to offer a steady, supportive space where you can explore your experience at your own pace. Healing is not about becoming someone new—it is about reconnecting with who you are underneath survival patterns and moving toward a life that feels more regulated, authentic, and aligned.

The task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.
